Sloppyness: 1 - LP: 0

November 4th, 2007

I warned you.

In fact, this isn’t even a real post. It’s really just a link to another part of the site, which I also get sloppy updating.

See you next year (maybe).

We’re officially a family

January 7th, 2007

Bonjour à tous!
We’re officially a family as of January 5th, 2007!

I know I know, my last post here was to inform you of a pregnancy, now the baby’s here, I guess the next post will be us buying a house and then about my retirement… I told you I’d get sloppy though, don’t say you weren’t warned.

Ok so, Sylvie and I just had a beautiful little baby boy. Louis-Charles was born on Jan. 5th at 4:41 PM, he weighted 3.1 Kg and measured 20.5 inches. He’s very healthy and already as cute as his father is…

Here he is 3 days before he was born:
T minus 3 days.

Here he is with his mommy:
T + 1 hour

Here he is with his daddy (me):
T + 1 day

And here he is all by himself like a big boy:
T + 1 day

Usually this is when I’d mention something about updating here soon or something, but don’t get your hopes up or anything.
Catch you folks later!

Accomplishment

May 7th, 2006

Well, as I had predicted, I’m getting sloppy with my blog again.
I’m like that, you know? :P Anyways, sorry for not updating since the vacation. I’ll try to sum up these past two months real quick…

Let’s see, hum, where should I start…?
We’re gonna have a baby! Sylvie’s pregnant, we just found out this week. Consider this my official w00t on the subject, virtual cigars for everyone!

Last minute stuff

February 26th, 2006

Well we’re getting ready to leave for Nicaragua, Tuesday morning (6:00 AM).
I have a bunch of last minute stuff to do tomorrow, and I always feel like I’m forgetting half of it :P
Anyways, I hope I don’t, and I’ll be back on Tuesday March 7th (9:30 PM). I’ll enjoy myself on your behalf ;)

Post vday assessment

Seriously, we were having a nice dinner at home together on Sunday night, when my girl thought it was getting hot. She took her shirt off. All I could think about for the rest of the dinner was giving her her gifts right then and there.
I offered, she didn’t decline, so I gave her the biggest part of her valentine’s day gifts right after dinner.
It was lingerie from Victoria’s Secret. Nothing too kinky, just the everyday, regular (but pretty) stuff. She needed it bad, all her old stuff was either too big or worn out.
I think she was pretty pleased with it. It was a nice evening…

So then Tuesday, I only had one more gift to give to her. It was a swimsuit, as we’re going away on vacation in two weeks and her old ones don’t fit either. She had been asking me to go shopping for one with her, I kept postponing it and telling her we’d go later. I had picked up this suit, also from Vic’s Secret.
So what I did was I layed it out on the bed with a box of chocolates under it (on her pillow). It looked pretty nice. Now if you’ve been following, you’ll have guessed that my girl has recently lost a lot of weight. I would’ve definately gone for 14 or 16 - Large before, but now I hesitated between size 10 and 12, which are both considered Medium at Victoria’s Secret. I finally went for 10 hoping it wouldn’t be too tight.
When came home and went into the bedroom she saw the suit. She immediately liked it, and tried it on. To my surprise, it was actually too big for her, and not just a little too big… Bummer… kinda, but it’s a good thing I guess :)
I had rented Elizabethtown, “for her”, since it’s not really my kind of movie. It was decent, for a chick flick. Anyways, nice evening also, but a bit disappointing. We looked at different suits on Vic’s website together, and picked a few options for replacements.

Today, while she was at work, I called up Victoria’s Secret’s customer service. I explained them my problem that I needed to have the suit exchanged (for another model since they didn’t have this one anymore) quickly, cause we’re leaving for Nicaragua on the 28th, and she definately needs a swimsuit that fits by then.
The lady on the phone was nice, she offered to ship me a replacement suit free of charge (the shipping I mean, I paid the suit with a credit card). She said to return the old suit as a Return and not an exchange, and she will see that I get reimbursed for that suit directly on my credit card (and not as an online store credit). Seems like a good enough deal to me.
So this is what she’s getting in exchange: One of these in Small, and
one of these (but black) in 6 - Small (yes, 6!).
I just wanted the tankini top on that last one, but it comes as a set and it was on clearance anyways. The high-waist bottom I could do without :P

Anyways, overall I think it was a good Valentine’s day, I think she’ll be happy to see what I picked out, and hope we have a great vacation ;)

Stay tuned for more details!

Valentine’s day

February 10th, 2006

As you guys probably know (allow me to pretend some people actually read this insignificant portion of the www), Valentine’s day is coming up.
For once, I didn’t wait until the last minute. In fact I’ve been ready for a couple of weeks, and I’m anxious to give my sweetie all her gifts. I almost gave her one just now…
Next month, we’ll have been going out 5 years. I’m 22, so that’s a good chunk of my life right there. We’ve talked about a bunch of projects for this year: moving, having a baby, getting married, going on vacation, etc. Big year :P
We’ll have to settle for maybe half of that, and put the rest on hold for another year… or so I thought.

Looks like we’re gonna be moving again (5th time in 5 years). Another apartment - we’re not quite ready for a house yet. We’d like to get a 2 bedroom + 1 office apartment for around the same price we pay right now, which should be feasable, considering the fact that we’re getting screwed right now.
Yep, 2 bedrooms. Guess a kid will be coming in the near future too :) We’re ready to start trying right about now (not right this minute since she’s asleep, but soon). Might be a month, might be a year, who knows. I have the uttermost confidence in my little swimmers though ;)
A vacation is also pretty much confirmed. We’ll be heading down to Nicaragua from Feb 28th to Mar 7th. We’ve been waiting a long time to take a break like that, but I’ve always been the one to bring her down to Earth and make her realized we couldn’t afford it. Looks like she can afford it alone, so the trip’s on her. I bet you’re jealous right now, right? :P I would be too…

The wedding won’t be for this year, but I should get some news on Monday about a new job. If it works out, I’d get a much better pay working from home, so plans might change soon enough…

I’ll try and keep you posted on this matter, as well as others (maybe). Don’t wait up though…

Fresh start

February 9th, 2006

Well this may or may not be my blog.
I may or may not have deleted the old one to get a fresh start.
I may or may not post more stuff later…
